Só Luxury

Thank goodness we don't listen or do things the way they should be done. Because Só Luxury became our baby. Shylah was nervous to ask about a name change because she saw the bigger picture. We could be BIGGER than just a baby brand. Bébé de Luxe became Só Luxury - a name we chose from our joint Irish heritage and because we loved the idea of sticking with Luxury. We incorporated in 2017 and set our eyes on the top.

This partnership enabled our business to grow beyond where I could take it on my own. Shylah was even BETTER at sourcing and we grew at a rapid rate. We signed a lease for warehouse space in September 2017 and oversold our November 1st launch. It was EXHILARATING.

Our growth was ORGANIC.  The universe had our backs.  New retailers weekly, our sales doubling year over year.  

2019 was a big year for us, we hired our first outside the family hire - Erica and we made our first acquisition. Our friend, another Erika, was selling her business - NEU Skin Botanicals. A business we had admired and personally shopped, the fit was perfect. Many of Erika's handmade and perfected formulas remain in our line today. At the time of buying NEU Skin we had our eyes mostly on her Apple Cider Vinegar Toner which became our Tonic. It's an incredible formula for oily and acne-prone skin. Mom's of teenagers everywhere thank us on the daily for giving their kids more confidence and less acne.

We landed our biggest retailer in 2021 - Save On Foods. If you're local to British Columbia, you'll recognize the name owned by Jimmy Pattison. What a dream to be on a massive grocery shelf with hundreds of locations, the buyer approached us, we didn't even need a distributor.

Later that year we made our second acquisition.  Mission Falls Ionic Silver was another brand we had long admired and used in our own homes.  The late Robert Dixon created his trusted line of Ionic Silver Products back in 2009.  Robert entrusted us with his legacy and we are proud to continue manufacturing and distributing his 99.999% pure silver and highly purified water, ionic silver solution.

In 2022, we outgrew our first warehouse and moved into a double warehouse in the same building.  Now we had our warehouse, our Ionic Silver manufacturing space and soon another storage warehouse.  We were growing and bursting at the seams.

Post-COVID we saw sales start to decline and many of our small retailers and small business closing their shops.  We are grateful to still be here.

In 2025 we opened a little storefront at our warehouse.  It took a bit to catch on but we're quite busy now and we love seeing your faces.  This year we also added some refillery options to the storefront with plans to continue to grow the refillery.

This year in 2026 we applied for Dragon's Den on a whim.  And what do you know, we were asked to fly to Toronto to film in May.  We can't tell you what happened in the Dragon's Den just yet but we had an incredible time in Toronto.  It was a complete whirlwind trip, flying in on the red-eye and landing at 7 am Saturday and flying home at 9 pm on Monday.  We squeezed in as much as we could, traversing the city on foot and even by transit (guided by a good friend).  Kensington market was a fave and getting pictures with the CN Tower in the background was a must.

We're also moving this year, to a brand new warehouse in the same town.  It's closer to our homes and we will be able to consolidate our three locations (Warehouse, Ionic Silver Manufacturing Space and Storage Warehouse) into one space.  We are excited and hope to be settled before our annual November 1 Anniversary sale!
